FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WEDDING PLANNER EDITION

WHY SHOULD I BECOME A PLANNER AT VOWLÁ?

Vowlá is the only wedding planning platform that’s used as the ultimate network between couples, planners and vendors. Our platform motivates individuals to start their own independent businesses and make meaningful income by pursuing their passions. Planners are independent contractors and may manage their accounts and services, freely.

IS VOWlÁ in my city?

Planners must be located in one of the metro areas listed below to register as a Planner. If you do not see your metro area, then we are not servicing your destination yet. At this time, we are currently available in the following US cities:

Los Angeles, CA

San Francisco, CA

HOW CAN I BECOME A partner of the app?

Thank you for your interest in Planning with Vowlá! To get started, you may register to become a Planner by following this link.

We will then process your registration and an executive will be in contact with you as soon as we determine your eligibility to start planning with us. At this time, feel free to check out the Registration Journey for questions regarding the registration process.

IF I JOIN VOWLÁ, WOULD I BE AN EMPLOYEE OF THE APP?

Planners on the platform are not employees of Vowlá; instead, they are independent contractors. Planners set their own hourly rates for work, their own number of consultations necessary in wedding planning, their own schedules, and their own work locations.

What Types of Tasks Can I Do as a Planner?

Planners may offer any available task in the sphere of wedding planning, assuming they have the abilities, skills, and knowledge to provide the service! Below is a list of the unique services Planners may accomplish through our platform:

Creatively Design Couple’s Wedding
Shop for Couple’s Personal Items
Guide Couple’s into Wedding Planning Checkoff
Consult through Couple’s Challenges
Manage Couple’s Vendor Bookings
Attend Couple’s Wedding Day to Produce

What DO I NEED TO BE A VOWLÁ Planner?

Planners must have a U.S. Social Security Number. This is especially required for the background check.

Planners must be at least 21 years of age. Planners must meet the age requirement in order to produce on the wedding day and consult through the process. There are legal liability implications that will not permit us to register Planners who do not meet this age requirement. In no case, are there exceptions to this rule.

Planners must be able to work in one of our metro areas in the US. At this time, the platform does not review registrations outside of these metro areas.

Planners must provide us with personal information for a background check and ID Check. We will process a full criminal background check on all US Planners, and will require:

  • Your full legal name

  • Date of birth

  • Home address

  • Social Security Number

Planners must provide (3) business/wedding client references.

Planners must have a bank account with a reputable financial institution. To be a Planner you must have a checking account. Savings accounts, prepaid debit cards, and reloadable bank cards will not work, even if they accept direct deposits.

Planners must have wedding planning experience, skills, and capabilities.

Planners must have an iOs Device since you'll be managing your wedding tasks through our Vowlá app.

When will my registration be processed?

We receive a high volume of registrations, and we operate the registrations on a rolling basis. Since we nurture to prevent over-saturation of the marketplace, we cannot provide an exact time frame for when your registration may be processed at this time.

DO I NEED INSURANCE TO BE A PLANNER AT VOWLÁ?

All Planners of our platform have an insurance policy that covers up to $1,000,000 in bodily injury and/or property damage to third parties arising out of accidents while on an active duty.

PLANNER PROFESSIONALISM

Vowlá aims to connect and deliver safe and reliable experiences for all users, planners, and partners and we ask everyone to act with professionalism and kindness in all platform-related interactions. To encourage professionalism, we ask that you use your real name, company name and an updated photo on your partnership profile.

If a negative experience should arise while you’re using the platform, we ask that you please remain professional as you communicate and/or dismiss yourself from the situation. If at any point you feel unsafe, we encourage that you contact the local authorities if you find it most appropriate.

In the case you have any relevant documentation, please retain it, as it may be useful information in the future. We recommend contacting Customer Support, vowlateam@vowla-app.com soon after.
