Edith & Alfredo's Love Story

Meet Edith & Alfredo

When you come across Edith and Alfredo, you immediately feel how caring and protective they are of one another. They’re one of those couples that you know you can count on for anything, and that is exactly how these two feel about one another.

The two met in high school almost nine years ago! They both grew up in Mountain View, and to this day, they are still located there.

When their relationship first bloomed, Edith was only 17 years old and Alfredo was 19. The two found each other really cute and had friends in common, however they never really made an effort to speak to one another. Edith explains that what attracted her most about Alfredo was his personality, she liked that he was always kind to those around him and always making everyone laugh. As you can tell from these adorable photos, Edith always has a big smile on her face, and that is something Alfredo adores about her.

The Beginning

We asked Alfredo what about Edith caught his attention and he said “My favorite thing about her is that she is a strong individual woman and I love how she stands up for herself. I love that she is very family oriented and cares about her loved ones. Seeing her be herself makes me love her more.”

I cannot tell you how much we LOVE this answer!! A man that supports your individuality and appreciates your strength and independence? We love to see it!

Edith mentions that she feels privileged to have such a loyal and caring partner by her side. I mean, it’s what a woman like her deserves!

A Date You Two Will Never Forget

We also asked the two to share a date they will never forget. We can’t decide which one is our favorite so we’ll share both!

Alfredo: A date that I will never forget is when we went to Disneyland for the first time, at 23 years old. I was so excited and felt like a little kid. She is not the biggest Disneyland fan but knowing it was my first time, she didn’t complain and [did] everything possible to make sure I had a great time. Having her there with me, made it even more special.

Edith: A date that I will never forget is when I was living in San Francisco and we explored the city. I had been having a really hard time with school, work, and with my family. He decided to take the day off and spend the whole day with me. We went hiking to Lands End, walked the Moraga steps, went to lunch, and walked around the city. It was something so simple but he helped me take my mind off everything that was going on, even if [it was] for just one day.

I’m telling you, these two will do anything to make sure the other is living their best life. We love how pure this is~

The two spoke about marriage various times and were very set on the idea of marrying each other. Of course, we had to ask…

“How did you know they were the one?”

Edith says she grew to this conclusion when she would watch him interact with her family. Coming from a highly family oriented background, she wanted her partner to be someone that felt comfortable around her family and could get along with them. Alfredo was always very present at family events and became like a big brother for Edith’s little brother.

Alfredo explains he knew because Edith loved him in a way no one else had before. She was always willing to work things out and was constantly showing him love in different forms.

Now, the moment we’ve all been waiting for, the engagement. As mentioned, Edith is very family oriented and as such she was very adamant about wanting her family and friends present when Alfredo decided to propose.

Here’s what Alfredo had to say about the proposal:

The proposal was more than what I had imagined. It was emotional to see something that I had been planning come together. It took about 3 weeks to plan, including going with her sister to pick out the ring. With the help of her sister, her family, close friends and her closest cousins, I was able to pull it off. She always said she wanted to have her family there when it happened, so I made sure they were part of the special day. The proposal was at Byington Vineyard and Winery in Los Gatos Hills. I took her to brunch in downtown Los Gatos, while everyone else got ready and headed to the winery. We had to kill some time because everyone was running late, so we walked down to a tea place she wanted to try. Once I got the queue that everyone was at the winery, I told her we were going somewhere else and headed over. When we arrived at the winery I suggested that we do a wine tasting and take our drink up to a place they have called the wedding hill. From there you are able to get a great view of their vineyard and the Santa Cruz mountains. At the top of the hill, her friends and family were waiting with a big balloon sign that said “Will you marry me”. I walked her to the middle of the hill with her friends and family next to us I told her how much she meant to me, and that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with her. I got on one knee, grabbed the ring, and, popped the question. We celebrated at the winery with food and wine, surrounded by the people we cared about.

Alfredo missed out on a couple details, but don’t worry, we asked Edith too. According to Edith, Alfredo became so emotional while popping the question he began to cry! This led Edith to shed some tears as well. She was very happy with the way he did it and the two are very much looking forward to their wedding in 2021!

Congratulations Edith & Alfredo, we are so full of joy and very excited to be following your wedding journey~
